Local resident Sean Clarke opened his bakery next door to The George public house in Redbourn early in 2021, during the last COVID 19 lockdown when many local venues were closed, and has since seen it flourish into a growing business.
Sean’s message to his customers is “we aim to showcase quality and skill in everything we create, from our cakes and bakes to our amazing sandwiches, artisan breads, freshly-ground coffees and loaded milkshakes, like no other you’ve ever tasted”.
In addition to the above, which are freshly made on the premises, you can also enjoy a range of meals from breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.
Sean started working as a kitchen porter at 15, working his way up to become Executive Head Chef at St. Michael’s Manor in St. Albans. In 2015 he took part in Masterchef the Professionals (see photo below) and has since worked at a number of leading local restaurants including The Grove, a 5* hotel near Watford, and The Alford Arms, a gastro pub in Frithsden near Hemel Hempstead.
Sean’s Bakery is open 7 days a week – 8 am to 2.30 pm
