The Queen of Herts is a brilliant Alice in Wonderland themed eatery in Redbourn Highstreet offering exquisite afternoon teas – handmade cakes & a full range of loose-leaf teas.
Each room joyously depicts characters or themes from the classic Lewis Carroll novel Alice in Wonderland, ranging from the white rabbit, stopped clocks, the Queen of Hearts and even a stuck Alice herself.
All of this has been lovingly created by the owner, Andrea Harford. Andrea has always had an ambition to create her own tearoom following a career as an on-board manager with British Airways. Andrea developed an interest when travelling around the world in how other cultures entertain with food and especially cakes & teas. It became her ambition to create her own tearoom, a dream that has now come true.
Andrea is abley supported by her husband Neil, niece Amber and her super cake making Dad, Dave.
After a successful start Andrea is now branching out by hosting functions such as comedy nights (next one is in March) and live music. The Queen of Herts is fully licenced & each event will include wine, traditional grazing boards, and cheese boards.
